According to MSDN; the automatic update of .NET 4.5.1 Causes compatibility issues with the VS2010 compiler, I.E Failure during conversion to COFF: file invalid or corrupt, apparently installing SP1 for VS2010 fixes this issue; however the installer has been sitting on idle for the past hour.
