Streets of SimCity - GTA before GTA, also SimCopter.

From a time when MAXIS new what they were doing when it came to game design.

Now these games are playable on Windows 10 thanks to a fan patch.

Today is a good day.

In SimCopter, my favourite was placing the F-15b sprite in SimCity 2000 (SCURK) near the airport where you start in a custom map, this results in an apache attack helicopter spawning in place when the map is played in SimCopter, and I would fly around the city and destroy the nuclear power plants.

This was something I never got to recreate until I played Vice City many years later.

The graphics of Streets of Sim City weren't that far off the first 3D GTA game.

I remember making Streets of Sim City race tracks in Sim City 2000, that was the best. - I had to put gas stations in every so often to repair my car.
